On September 30th and October 1st, MIPU took part in the A.I.MAN Lab Days and the Maintenance Exclusive Club, two days organized by A.I.MAN (the Italian Maintenance Association) at the Labirinto della Masone in Fontanellato, near Parma. The event brought together maintenance managers and technical directors from leading companies such as Barilla, Cogne Acciai Speciali, Parmalat, Unigrà and others more.
Lab Days: from round tables to shared solutions
The first day was dedicated to round-table discussions involving maintenance professionals from the food and steel industries. MIPU brought its expertise by moderating two of them, thanks to Alessandro Corradin, who led the food industry round table, and Luca Girelli, who moderated the steel industry one.
The priorities that emerged from the discussions, shared by very different companies, mainly concerned sustainability, in terms of decarbonization, energy efficiency and the management of water treatment plants according to BAT (Best Available Techniques). Alongside technology, strong attention was given to the human factor and to the importance of valuing maintenance professionals, involving HR in structured growth and training paths.
People were also at the core of the speech by former professional basketball player Riccardo Pittis, who highlighted the value of teamwork and relationships.
Maintenance Exclusive Club: one-to-one meetings with companies
The second day was dedicated to the Maintenance Exclusive Club (MEC), the format that connected end-users looking for the best solutions for their factories with leading solution providers in the industry. One-to-one meetings took center stage, alongside high-profile keynote speeches.
MIPU took part in MEC as a solution provider, meeting directly with the Maintenance Ambassadors of participating companies to discuss concrete maintenance and energy efficiency challenges.
Technology that grows together with people: MIPU’s vision
These two days confirmed our philosophy: artificial intelligence and predictive maintenance create value only when they support and strengthen the work of the people who use them. That is why we develop solutions that enhance the expertise already within a company rather than replace it.
Energy management, asset reliability and sustainability are the same goals MIPU pursues with its customers, as in the Predictive Factory project developed with Cereal Docks and recognized with the Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award 2025.
The challenges discussed over these two days are the same ones we tackle every day alongside our customers, with the goal of helping technology and people grow together. We are ready to do likewise with new companies too: our team is available to discuss it at info@mipu.eu.
